football from my view

Assalamualaikum.

I used to admire the way they played, counter attacking football at its best. For me, that is the best way of playing football rather than passing the ball to another teammate for no reason. Sometimes, I even root for them. That's what football is really is. I never hate them.

But recently, I dont even know why, I've got a lot of PM or wall post from Facebook and Twitter condemning me for the team that I support. All because of the have a terrible result for a couple of matches which effect them on the title challenge. I don't know why, in my life time, I never attacked somebody because of football by means of joking or just love to see the anger from my friend. If I ever did, I'm really really sorry and I dont mean it cause that's not the way I grew up with and that is not supposed to happen in football I think.

I dont even hate that football club but their fan made me wanna hate them. True story, I know some of that football club fans which is some of my friends, some of them are not even their fans at first but after their favorite footballer transferred to that club, they begin to root for them. That's normal, okay, I accepted that but after their favorite footballer left that club and joined another club, why don't you support that new club? Why did you support that club? Is it because they won a lot of trophies? It is really a mind-blogging thing.

Yeah, I admit it, when I was 8 or 9 years old I think. All I only know about football is David Beckham and he played for Manchester United. When somebody ask me which favourite football club do you support? Immediately I answered Man Utd, just because David Beckham has a very good hairstyle at that time. I'm a weirdo right? haha.

But when I watched  the first football match for 120 minutes + penalty and they won that game. I began to root for that english club. It happened 9 years ago. I began to know about football, I began to seek knowledge about football from the past players, the rules of football ( I remembered myself reading thousand of words about offside on FIFA website 9 years ago as I did not really understand about offside rule) and a lot more.

I dont want to talk more about my past. The bottom line is from my perspective, you shouldnt transferred your anger to another football fan. What I'm trying to say is if your team have a bad season, just dont put your anger or dissatisfaction or "concerned" or blame to anybody else. I admit it, the team that I rooted for have been bad for several years. I never stopped rooting for them. And I did not attacked somebody directly just because their team slipped the chance to win something.

I admit it, I read through Facebook and Twitter and sometimes laugh at it but what it is just for me. I did not tag somebody name or post to wall or pm or tweet about that. Cause I know how the feel. Even though it is just a football match, for a fanatic fan like me, it hurts a lot. Sometimes you cant control your feeling and you regret about it later.

My advice is just dont do it. If you want to laugh at somebody misery, just laugh to yourself, just have fun to yourself. Dont channel that happiness to them, it will make them somewhat holds a revenge and that is not good. That revenge it will keep growing and growing.

Another advice is if you really really really likes to channel your happiness about another team failure, channel it to someone who really deserves that, who really likes to do it to you. Dont just simply channel it to someone who never do it to you. That's not fair. Really really not fair.

That's all I think. This post is not mean to hurt or to make somebody mad. It is just a friendly reminder. It is not worth to involves in a fight with your friend because of football. It is just a game for you but maybe not for him.

Thank you.
